FROM LIGHTROOM CLASSIC TO DELIVERY

Give your Lightroom exports a delivery structure.

Your edits stay in your editing workflow. Once Lightroom Classic has written the final JPEGs to disk, you can organize those files manually or bring them into Mizan on your Mac.

1. Export the finished selection to disk.

In Lightroom Classic, select the photographs you intend to deliver and use File → Export. Choose a dedicated destination folder and JPEG as the output format. Choose image dimensions, quality and color settings for the delivery brief rather than assuming one preset fits every job.

Adobe’s export guide describes the export controls. This is a file-based handoff: Mizan works with the resulting JPEGs, not with Lightroom’s catalog or edit instructions. No Mizan Lightroom plugin or Adobe partnership is implied.

2. Inspect the JPEGs before organizing.

Open a few files from the export folder and confirm they contain the final edits. Check that the export completed and that the intended selection is present. A catalog backup and an exported JPEG delivery serve different purposes; keep your normal backup process for both.

If the gallery combines cameras, check for filename collisions and inspect the capture-time information available in the exported files. Metadata choices can affect what an organizer has to work with. Do not rename or combine files in a way that overwrites another photographer’s image.

3. Organize a working copy into chapters.

For a manual workflow, copy the JPEGs into chapter folders and check the timeline across cameras. For Mizan, bring the edited JPEGs into the app, choose Wedding, Event & Party, or Conference & Corporate, and review the chapter assignments.

Align the camera timestamps where needed and check moments photographed by multiple bodies. Then review content that could fit several chapters, such as a speaker photographed during both a keynote and a reception.

4. Keep the exported delivery separate from the catalog.

Mizan creates organized export copies without moving or modifying your input files. Open those folders and check the result before handing it to the client or uploading it to your usual delivery service.

If you change an edit in Lightroom later, export the corrected JPEG and make sure the final delivery contains that version. Organizing an exported file does not synchronize future Lightroom edits. Treat the handoff as a deliberate version of the finished gallery.

  • Confirm the intended photos and final edits are present.
  • Review the timeline and chapter boundaries.
  • Keep original exports and delivery copies distinguishable.
  • Verify the final uploaded or handed-over gallery.
